1.1 Business Identity

This website is owned and operated by Jenna Morris trading as J-Cleans, an independent domestic and commercial cleaning service based in Balclutha, New Zealand, operating as a sole trader.

1.2 Website Content and Service Estimates

All information, service guides, and estimates on this website are provided for general informational purposes. Submitting an enquiry via the online quote form, telephone, or social media does not establish a binding cleaning contract. Confirmed bookings, cleaning schedules, and final pricing are agreed directly in writing between J-Cleans and the client prior to service commencement.

1.3 Cleaning Services and Statutory Rights

These terms govern the use of this website. Physical cleaning services performed by J-Cleans are subject to separate service agreements arranged at the time of booking. For domestic residential cleaning, nothing on this website limits, excludes, or modifies non-excludable statutory rights provided under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) or the Fair Trading Act 1986. Where cleaning services are acquired for business purposes (such as offices or commercial premises), the parties agree that both parties are in trade and that the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 do not apply to the transaction under Section 43 of that Act.

1.4 Acceptable Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes related to seeking cleaning services in Balclutha and the wider Clutha District. You must not submit false or automated form enquiries, attempt to compromise website security, or interfere with Cloudflare edge protections.

1.5 External Relays and Third-Party Platforms

Digital communications initiated through this website rely on external infrastructure, including the FormSubmit email relay, Apple iCloud Mail, and Meta (Facebook Messenger). While transit encryption is maintained across standard channels, J-Cleans cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of external platforms and accepts no liability for third-party transmission delays or outages.

1.6 Limitation of Liability

Except as required by New Zealand consumer legislation, J-Cleans excludes all liability for direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from website downtime, minor typographical errors, or reliance on website content.

1.7 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising in connection with the use of this website fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

J-Cleans values your privacy and manages personal information in accordance with the 13 Information Privacy Principles established by the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

When you use the online quote form on this website, J-Cleans collects only the details you submit voluntarily:

• Phone Number
• Email Address
• Service Required (e.g., regular home clean, one-off, deep, and tenancy clean, Airbnb turnover, commercial clean)
• Property details, general location, and preferred cleaning schedule

2.2 Purpose of Collection

Your details are collected solely to evaluate cleaning requirements, calculate accurate price estimates, organise booking times, and communicate directly with you regarding your service enquiry.

2.3 Data Routing and Storage

Website communications are encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS). Web form submissions are processed through the FormSubmit relay service and routed directly to a private, password-protected Apple iCloud email account. The receiving business email address is tokenised and obfuscated within site code to prevent harvest by scrapers. J-Cleans does not sell, rent, or trade contact details with commercial marketing networks.

2.4 Data Retention

Enquiry records are retained only as long as necessary to complete requested cleaning services, maintain ongoing client communication, or satisfy New Zealand business tax and accounting obligations.

2.5 Access and Correction Rights (IPPs 6 & 7)
